Our approach
LegalQ&A is a reading resource. It is built so that you can use it without giving us anything about yourself. We keep the amount of data we hold to an absolute minimum.
What we collect
This website does not collect personal data beyond standard server logs. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no comment facility, no user account and no payment processing on this site.
Like any web server, ours records standard technical information when a page is requested: the IP address making the request, the date and time, the page requested, the browser type and the referring address. This is used to keep the site running, to diagnose faults, and to protect against abuse.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying detail. We do not build profiles of visitors. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Legal basis
Where we process server log data, we do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website, as permitted under the General Data Protection Regulation.
How long we keep it
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short period for operational and security purposes and are then deleted in the ordinary course.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to complain to the Data Protection Commission. Because we hold so little, most requests will simply confirm that we hold no personal data about you. Requests can be made in writing to Lee Solicitors at the address on our website.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies needed to function. Details are set out in our Cookie Policy.
At your own risk
This website provides general information only. It is not legal advice and it does not create a solicitor and client relationship. You rely on anything you read here entirely at your own risk. For advice about your own circumstances, please consult a qualified solicitor.
